700R4 Raptor--

Hi everyone,
I need a new tranny 700r4, I just saw a website for the 700 raptor. Supposedly the super 700r4 tranny with ultimate upgrades is what makes up the raptor. And wow did it look affordable for what it offers, does anyone have any experiences with this tranny???? Or heard of anything regarding this tranny??? It sounds to good to be true, but Im not a tranny guy, so who knows?
This is what I saw: http://www.transmissioncenter.net/highperflist.htm
Thanks for your time, input appreciated

They say firmer 1-2 shift w/ a stronger servo than the vette one. Let me tell you, I have the vette servo in mine, along with the extra clutches (3 extras) The 1-2 shift is so hard, I ca't see them making it any harder. Right now my 350 is not running in tip top condition so it really has trouble lighting the tires up...if it can at all w/o breaks w/o neutral slamming it. One the 1-2 shift, if I have the throttle down 1/2 way through the shift, it'll light 'em up good! The whole car shakes when it shifts unless I let off the gas during the shift. the 2-3 shift is also pretty tough, little to know time w/o power being applied to the wheels. 3-4 is a little more spongy, but still nothing to sneeze at. The only thing I se it has going for it is the higher 1st gear (which will make less impressive burn-outs but give better gas milage like they said, since I am assuming they put all the gears up by the same percentage), and the fact that they say it can take 455 ft/lbs of torque. I am not sure what the stock 700r4 can take though. The price is nice however, a new one from GM will cost ~1300 after core return. They say no return required. (good and bad) The only thing I'd be worried about is will they stand behind their product. Where I took my car for it's trans re-build they had extended warranties avail, but it comes w/ 1 year. The other thing they have are those high stall speed torque converters. Most of our cars have pretty long powerband, and really don't need too high of a stall speed converter. I still run bone stock since I do not race (yet) and the high stall speed converters make a lot of heat (any my tranny gets pretty warm anyways living in a hilly area). The fact that they tell you what they are putting in it looks good. Personally I don't think the deal looks bad. Anyone else?

I agree with the the billet servo theory, I have a corvette servo and a B&M shift kit and driving in the rain gets pretty hairy as every shift results in the rear sliding out. On dry pave, every time I shift from 1-2 the tires bark......I just can't see a harder shift being something I would like, and I'm still in the time of my life(18) where I like the noise and hard shifts of a performance car.
