Fuel Pump going???

Can anyone help? I've been experiencing a new problem with this car. 86 TA with a 305 TPI. Let me list the parts i changed first: fuel filter, air filter, 02 sensor, tps sensor, plugs, wires, MAFS sensor, both relays for the MAFS, pcv valve, all vacumn lines htat i could get to. Cap, rotor, egr valve were done last year i believe, and so was the IAC, and the coolant temp sensor. New exhaust put on it last week.

so here is what its doing....i start it in the morning, it stalls.....start it, stalls....i physically have to keep my foot on the gas pedal to keep it running. At a stopsign, lamp, same story.....if i let off the gas, the RPM's drop instantly to around 500 or so....cant even hear my car. Also, there is hesitation from a standstill if i floor it. And I think i smell gas out by my tailpipes when i start/shut off the car. I see no fuel leaks along the lines. The next thing that happens is the code 33 light comes on....but SELDOM. Funny thing is, all this except for the check engine light comming on happend today....later in the afternoon....but in the morning, the car was running fantastic for a good 2hrs. But especially when I'm driving, i have to keep my foot on the gas a bit, or my rpms would drop down really low. I also checked soething after it was acting like this....i parked the car, waited 30seocnds, and then just put the ignition to the ON postion...to hear the fuel pressure system pressurize.....wouldnt do it. So i waited a few hours, and thats when i head it presssureize.....but then the car acted up again doing the same routine. So waht could be the problem here? Injectors or Fuel Pump? Sigh.....

30 seconds isn't enough for system to depressurize. Check the fuel pressure at the rail, that should tell you what's what. EGR will do exactly that if it's carboned up and the pintle can't close. TPS set correctly. Did you pull the IAC and check the passages. This sort of problem can lead you in circles unless you go at it step by step which usually involves a lot of time. This is one where there is not easy answer, just plug at it one thing at a time.

Thanks for the response. TPS is set correctly. I didnt pull the IAC yet. I just hope its something simple, and can be fixed by the weekend....I need the car running good.
