serpentine question?
serpentine question?
I have a V-belt setup now but since the engine is apart I'm gonna switch to serpentine and need to know the belt size. I have no AC or smog pump so iguess I need a smaller belt. Do I have to get the delete pulleys or can i just leave it like that?

you need a delete pully for the AC, but you don't need one for the smog.

You dont have to have the AC delete pulley. I dont. In the morning Ill get the belt size and routing for you. At thirdgen nationals many people seemed impressed by my belt routing for some reason lol. It involves routing the belt overtop of the tensioner...
Mines been like this for 2 years with 0 problems and the same belt. I think it works!

88camaro350, that's exactly the way my belt is routed! But it squeeks a lot, probably due to it being an old belt. I'm looking into getting a new belt. What size belt are you using? I have all the stock equipment, but my AC compressor's seized, so the belt's on the tentioner.
