Maybe you are running way too rich. Is this after driving the car for awhile or right after starting it up? If it was running for awhile, how hard on it were you while driving?

I had a bad gas cap, a new one solved it.

Could be a bad pressure relief valve stuck open, or the seal for the filler neck to the tank, or maybe one of the rubber lines up near the tank has a leak. Check it out before it gets worse.

I have a bad gas cap as well, and it leaks if I don't tighten it WAY down. I need a new one.

Your filler neck might be cracked, thats a common thing I hear
