Aluminum 1 row, or C/B 3 row??
Aluminum 1 row, or C/B 3 row??
Which should I get? one has a plastic tank and AL core 1 row, the other is brass tank and 3 row C/B core. The Tecnician guy thought the 3 row would cool a shade better, but it is also much heavier.
Thanks

Depending on what part of the country you live in, neither may do the trick.... I have had them all, and the only thing that really works in the desert is a BeCool, or a Griffin type radiator.... both of which will knock you back over $500 for the model you need.
Your cheapest solution is to go to Autozone, and get their $138 replacement (3core) which comes with a lifetime warranty.

I'd go with the aluminum, its lighter, and generally speaking they cool better because of the construction. Copper/brass does cool better than aluminum, but the aluminum radiators always have more fins, contact area between fins and rows, more rows, etc etc, which more than makes up for any advantage the copper/brass has. And copper/brass radiators are super heavy by comparison.

I've had both in the same car with very different results. In the summer when it's extremely hot here, the super-wide one-core aluminum was able to hold its own, the brass three-core ran a minimum 20 degrees hotter. I won't go with anything other than aluminum.
