Car running realy hot at all times, seems to cool down at idle.
My car is still running realy hot, 260+, I thought it was the sending unit but when i stop and turn it off, I can hear it boiling and my overflow tank is almost overflowing. So I know it is realy hot and not just a bad sending unit. I think I have some pretty bad vaccum leaks could that do it? My check engine light just came on yesterday (code 44) it says its running lean.
Could bad (low) vaccum make it run lean?
Thanks for any help.

Is the fan working?
Airdam intact?
Hows the lower radiator hose (theres supposed to be a spring in it).
Thermostats are cheap, and you know what cheap gets you... try replacing it for the hell of it.
Oh.. and a vacuum leak could cause it to run a little hot, but I'm not sure thats really the root of your problem. Look for disconnected vacuum lines.
