A/C Compressor Q's

Does anyone know if someone makes a smaller, lighter A/C compressor that will work with my system? I just can't believe that something better hasn't come along in 16 years.

I guess you have that big compressor that GM used years ago. Heres something that cost just a "few" bucks

Do you know if tyhey sell this kit with the ac delete pulley instead of the compressor? I'm wanting to change to the serpentine set-up eventually but don't need the compressor.

Thanks

March Performance makes serpentine conversion kits for about $200, and you could buy a delete pulley for well under $500

Total cost: Probably around $250

Take care,
Matt

is the serpentine compressor smaller? mine is made by Harrison and it just seems huge and heavy. Does the serpentine compressor rotate opposite from the v-belt version?

thanks for your help so far.

They are very similar in weight between, say, a 1986 camaro with VBelt and a 1991 camaro with serpentine. As for the late model cars, I don't know the answer to that one. Both serpentine and vbelt rotate clockwise if you are looking at the motor from the front of the car.
