might be sending out heads. just a few questions
ok i might be sending out my heads to be cleaned/new springs and sutch. i ant to put in a set of edelbrock springs from summit. will most places (that do this work)rebuild the heads w/ a set of springs i supply? also exactly what should i get done. the car never knocked nor do the valves look bad and prices i am expecting?

Since the heads will be off and probably really close to a mill in the near future, aren't you tempted to install larger valves, or at least do some deep bowl porting in the valve areas? I would also advise trimming around the valve stem bosses and reducing the short radius sides of the intake and exhaust ports. You might also want to take a sphere or end mill into the manifold side of the ports and at least match the gasket openings and blend the ports back into the "new" valve areas.
The 305 has always suffered from poor head flow, so here's your chance.
While they're off, you might as well pull the rocker studs and tap the holes for screw-ins.
