Car on Jack for a Week

Is it OK to have my car up on a jack for a whole week? Is it slowly bending/stretching/compressing/warping something? I have the right front jacked up, just enough to get the wheel off. It's the jack that came with the car.

Thanks

It's not on jack stands, it's on one single jack on the sheet metal fin that's there for the factory jack.

the least it could do is the jack could let it down slowly, which if jacked up in the correct spot on the frame, you have nothing to worry and if u have the tires on, even if it lets down its ok. However, jack stands are very cheap, go buy four and place the car on them, they are safer then getting under a car with just the jack holding it up. It isn't worth your life

yup

use jack stands..

and if you are worried about bending the car, lift the car up evenly on jackstands..... if you put them under the rear axle and under the front a arms, its just like its on the tires anyway...

It may not hurt the car but you'll probably kill the seals in the jack (if it's hydraulic)! I left a car up on one of my little floor jacks for 2 months once. The seals were GONE, baby, GONE! Once I let the jack down it wouldn't go back up again- had to pitch it.

I guess you could say the jack had fallen and couldn't get up!
