OK I got an 89 Camaro and you all know that **** you pull to turn on your headlights and if you turn it you can dimm your dash lights. Well mine is a B****! it has to be in a certain spot or the light will go out. If I am going down the road and hit a bump at night.....BYE BYE LIGHTS! Any one know how to tighting that thing up or fix it??

 

i'd replace the switch.

Ed is correct. The potentiometer that controls the voltage to the dash lamps is an integral part of the switch. The older "Push-Pull" switches are actually easier to replace than the rocker style.

I'd replace the switch, too, but I'm nowhere near Trenton.
