door manual lock thing
on the side of the actual door, there is some mechanism that is engaged and it won't let me shut the door

try moving the latch with a screw driver, open the door and it'd be the part that engages the striker. you might want to make sure the striker hasn't moved too. if it's the lock it's self you can remove the door panel to gain access to it and move it manually, or repair it if needed.

Yeah, Ede has it right. It should be a pretty easy fix. My S-10 used to do that alot. It helps if you lift up on the door handle while you try to pull the mehanism back.
