Fuel Pump question.
1991 Formula, 305 V8 TBI.
Can the fuel pump on my car be broken ( produce little or no pressure), yet still hear the pump run.
My car stopped running some time ago. The ingniton is just fine because the car starts up when I manually feed gas into the throttle body bores. The ECM is giving me NO codes. The fuel filter is not clogged. I crack open any of the fuel lines at the threads at the fuel filter and the TBI to just get fuel to drip, I then turn the IGN key to let the fuel pump prime, andno fuel SPARYS out of any of the threads, yet I can hear the pump run. When I jumper (Bypass) the injectors while someone turns the key to turn the engine over, fuel just drips out ( No spray). There seems to be no Pressure, but the pump still pumps. Should I change pump? Could the pump be very weak? What should I check for?
Is there a chance someone could E-mail me detailed instructions on how to RR of my fuel pump and gas tank.
