got a g-tech have questions
ok i used the g-tech today 3 runs the best being a 14.7 at 88 something mph, and a 0-60mph time of 5.7 these numbers seem high to me what do you guys think my car should be at least running? also on this run it started to bog on the top of 4th gear
i have the following
305 .20 over
214/220 .452/.465 270/276 adv duration roller cam
WP S/R torquer 305 heads
Edelbrock Performer intake
Headman Coated Shorty Headers
Gutted Cat
3" edelbrock RPM series cat-back
5-Speed
3.73 Posi rear
Q-jet CCC with free mods
hypertech thermomaster chip/160 degree thermostat

The "bog on the top of 4th gear" sounds like it may be running out of fuel to me. I hear the that Q-jet has a relatively small bowl for the CFM it can flow, you may be running it dry.
I'd look into recurving the ignition for faster advance if your distributor is in fact in charge of the advance curve (not the ECM). I agree with you that your numbers sound a little slower than I'd expect.
The G-techs are usually a little optimistic if anything from my experience, by a couple tenths.

If he's got a CCC carb the ECM should be controlling timing. Adding a little base timing might help.
