For the past month or so, while driving my GTA, I've been having a problem while sitting at a stop sign/light. While sitting idle for a few seconds, I get off the brake and as soon as I press the gas, the engine boggs down quickly like it's going to stall, then it gets moving. It doesn't do this every time but almost. The fuel pump and filter were replaced 2 yrs ago so I don't attribute the problem to be in that area. I'd appreciate any ideas as to what the problem could be related to. Thanks.

The filter should be replaced at least once a year.

 

This car is only driven 1k to 2k miles a year though.

 

Definately change it before you take it out of "storage" (if you store it for winter), also the gas in the tank may be bad or have water in it from condensation from sitting for extended periods of time.
