What Flywheel to use

What Flywheel to use
I have a 350TPI with a 5speed. I need to know does the flywheel need to be balance or not. Please help

305 and 350 are the same as long as you are using a similar yeared engine. later models are externally balanced and earlier models are internally balanced. there is no way to have the flywheel balanced correctly because you have no idea how the engine rotating assembly is balanced.

you ought to give a little more information about what you have or what you're doing to get a better answer. kyle is correct keep the flywheel the same year as the engine and you shouldn't have any problems.

OK Snakeskinner Thanks for the info. What about the harmonic balancers are they the same (305 350).

I've been trying to figure the damper issue out myself for quite some time. Lingenfelter makes the statement in his book that the post '86 one piece seal crank engines require a different damper. I don't see why they woud but you should check it out prior to getting a standard neutral balance damper. I just dont know for sure. Anyone???
