got fuel no spark help !!! plz!!

Went to the movies today when i got back into the car it just cranked and cranked, The fuel pump is working ,so i went to the coil and pulled the wire going to the dist off just enough to see if it was sparking as my girlfriend tried to start the car.No spark at all. While i was at the coil i noticed it jiggles around alot, like the metal nipple that you plug the wire on is very lose from the rest of the metal around it. Does it sound like i need a new coil? While i was driving to the movies the car ran fine although a couple of days ago it did take longer then normal to start. The cars a v6 if that helps any. Please help!

Nothing on the coil should be loose. It seems like you've found a problem.

Depending on the Accel coil you install, you may have problems. The stock HEI switching module is not designed to switch the higher current of many aftermarket coils. You may have to change the HEI module as well.

No Vader it wasnt an accel coil, i used to have a 88 tbird with a 5.0 ho roller motor in it, the coil went and right after i bought the oem replacement i saw an accel coil so i put the accel coil in that car so i had the oem coil still laying around the house, i used the accel plug adaptor that the accel coil came with to put the oem ford 5.0 coil in my car. The coil is oem not accel.I know its two times larger than the stock 2.8 coil though, will this be ok? Heres a pic sorry its not too good of a pic
