SHOULD i bump up the timing?
hey, my lg4 has 0 degree timing and i thought that is kinda low. i have put a full exuast from headers to the cat back and i think i should bump it up to get more performance. how much should i bump it up and how can i do it on a computer controlled carb/distro. thanx guys

You should easily be able to get away with 6-8° BTDC with the right fuel. Since we're getting ethanol in the mix, a little advance should be acceptable without causing detonation.
Your ECM shouldn't have a problem with advanced base timing, since there isn't a crankshaft position sensor on your car. The only thing that will affect the ECM's control over the timing is the knock sensor input.

You should hear the Idle Go Up
It dosent take much movement To change he timing alot, What I do is losen the Retaining Bolt and THen Hit that little block On the side of the Dist where the Tach plugs In with a wrench, only loosen it a little so You can just barely move it Or else when you try to tighten it, you can Bump it back very easily.
