what mods??

I am new to the firebirds.....so my question has probably been asked a million times so I apologize....just guide me to the post and I will read about it......but my question is.....I have a 1992 vert with a TBI 305. What mods are there for it and where can I find them? And how much to replace it with a 350 or better?

John

Depends on what you can do yourself, and what you cant do. You can buy engines with very low hp output for just over a grand. Or you can buy a full race engine for 20k (jk, i doubt your in the market for one of these). Considering your question, modding a sbc you dont know how to put together and engine, so I'd buy a complete long block. Ebay has some super deals, and most will pay shipping with buy it now prices. These are companies mind you, not just joe blow off the street, so there goal isnt basically to get 2500$ from you then not send anything.

I'd check it out, Ive seen well over 300hp long blocks in the 2k range, these are carb so you'd have to swap on a regulator for fuel, and mod a couple things, but nothing you couldnt do or ask us about.

you can do anything to your 305 that you can do to any other SBC. there are several good books on the SBC you may want to look at. do a search or just read some threads here and you'll pick up quite a bit of info. you can pretty much spend as much or as little as you want when it comes to buying go fast parts
