HEI Distributor Experts??

I just finished replacing the intake manifold gaskets and was about to put the distributor back in when I noticed it was very hard to rotate. Seems like something is frozen inside. I checked my chassis manual and there doesn't seem to be any info on how to rebuild it. Are there bearings/bushings I can replace to remedy my problem or will I have to go and get a new one? As a side note, the top of the distributor is very rusted.

I just saw a topic the other day that had you answer! There are bushings in there that wear out, but it sounds like your's are galling from a lack of lubrication. I'll see if I can find the topic again.
