Hood insulation

I have an '82 Trans Am with Cross-fire fuel injection which has the stock solenoid controlled cold air induction opening on the hood. I need to get new hood insulation for it. Unfortunately GM has discontinued the hood insulation for the '82 and '83 Cross-Fire Trans Ams. Does anyone know who makes stock spec hood insulation for my car and where I can get it. Thanks in advance for any info.

Hey Disco!
How bad is yours on your car?
I have a hood from a crossfire in my storage shed that I can pull and check for you! I'm going to have to anyway, I'll be moving soon!
Great to see ya here from that "other" site!
Oh ya, this is the name I usually go by!

Later,

George

You could trim any bird/ta insualtion to work but why? I dont like crap falling on my engine or moisture getting trapped under the matting burning rust holes through my hood do you?
