Leaky fuel-line question

The car I'm in the midst of buying is an 89 Formula with a 305. Before I can bring it home from it's current location I have to fix a busted fuel line. Now I haven't got to look under the car yet to see what's there, but the current owner tells me that there are 4 lines running underneath the car and one of them is leaking. My question is, since I haven't got to look under there yet... what's under there and is it fixable? It almost sounds like the way a sending unit is set up (he says 4 lines running parrallel right next to eachother, very close, not sure if they're touching). Is it a sending unit or just lines? Can I repair the single line somehow, or is that an entire assembly that needs replaced? Thanks in advance.
P.S. - Do you know what size those lines are?

i guess if you wanted to repair it you could, after making sure there is no fuel left in the line, manually saw out the broken section and, if its not badly corroded or damaged, flare the ends of the lines and install a new section of seamless fuel line. This would be a perminent fix. If the leak isnt in the main fuel line, you can patch it temperarily with a section of rubber fuel hose. Id avoid using rubber hose on the main line unless its a low pressure system like tbi. Otherwise, the line may slip off or burst.

That's the answer I was kinda looking for. Yeah, it is a TBI setup. Hopefully, I'll have that fixed tommorrow so I can bring it home finally.
Thanks for the help.
