Tired of all the computer BS

Hey guys. So I just got my hands on a nice 84 Trans Am. My original plan was to rip out all the computerized bs and wiring and throw a nice 350 in her. Unfortunately, that project will have to wait till spring. So my question is, what do I need to do and what do I need to get to get rid of the computer and all these damned annoying wires running everywhere? The motor in it now is a 305 LG4 carbed. I'm deffinently going to stick with the carb instead of trying to go back to fuel infection. So, what intakes, carbs, headers, etc would you guys recomend? Also, what motor components? Like I said, I want a 350, nothing too insane as this will still be driven on the street and needs to pass emissions testing here. Thanks for the input guys

Brian

I would suggest an holley street dominator intake with a demon carb (built in power valve protection, but if you can find an older holley, you can buy a kit for it from summit for under $10 bucks, it inculdes a preset drill bit and its easy to install)

U can always decrease the jet size to regulate fuel pressure even more, i downsize my jets for e-check. You'll need a different distribuator and if your planning on keeping the tach, you'll have to find some of the wires to plug into the new distrib to control it but if not, just run a 12 volt feed to power your distrib. new heads I think, valve covers, alot of small **** but well worth to keep away from those expensive sensors that always go out (MAF especially) and eliminating the computer and fuel injection was one of the better things I did for my car. I just noticed a slight decrease in gas mileage. I know others will tell you different on the parts to get and some other thigns you'll need to convert.

Everyone likes those performer intakes now-a-days =[

cheers
