? about rocker arms

I'm getting ready to order the vortec head kit from www.sdpc2000.com. for a 1992 z28 with th 5.7 TPI. The part number for this kit is sd8060ratpi. The kit comes with 1.5 ratio stamped steel rocker arms part number 124954490. My question is would I benefit anything if I went with 1.5 roller rockers. If so would these roller rockers mess up the geometry of the valvetrain? Also are the roller rockers any problem to adjust? Thanks to all that respond.

you should have no problems from the rockers, you may have a change in valve train geometry because of increased cam lift. there may be a slight advantage to roller tip rockers and another small gain from the full trunnion type rockers, but it's slight and for a street engine a bit over kill. i'd say rockers a piece of cake to adjust, but if you've never done then you may say something else

Your stock rockers have a designed ratio of 1.5:1 - just like what you are looking at.

Roller-tipped or fully rollerized rockers are no more difficult to adjust than "plain" ones.

Roller tipped rockers offer a little less tip friction, and a little less resultant valve stem and guide wear.

Valve train geometrey should not be affected by roller tips if they were designed for your engine.

Actually, stock GM rockers can range anywere from 1.45 to 1.52. If he gets an aftermarket set of 1.5 rockers, at least they will all be the same.
