plugging fines?

plugging fines?

hey i just picked up a tranny cooler and wanna install it today but i was just wondering what i should do to plug the holes in the rad after i connect them to the cooler. also does anyone know what those clips are call that u put through the rad and cooler to make it stay. thanks oh also does it matter were i mount the cooler on the rad?

I mounted mine at the bottom of the rad. Also, I cant remember what those plastic hold downs are called but I know they have them at Checker or Napa.

thanks. does the tranny cooler have to be center with the rad or can i put it to the side? also the cooler should be mounted on the outside right?

The cooler should be mounted towards the front of the car, so yes it'd be to the outside of the radiator if you're considering the motor the inside.

Cooler placement shouldn't be all that crucial I wouldn't believe. You're going to get about the same amount of airflow in all spots on the face of the radiator.

Also, depending on how large the cooler is, you might be able to mount an electric fan on it depending on how cool you want the fluid to be.

Transmission: 27 spline 700R4 (another one died) -> T5 goin in next
The lines run into the factory transmission oil cooler in the radiator. The auxilary ones are usually to cool the oil down a little bit more, or in my case just cool down the fluid because the radiator does not have a tranny oil cooler in it and is completely independent.
