In another post I believe, you said that in a TPI engine, the electric fan was cut on by grounding a wire. (The green one with a black stripe I believe.. ??) Does it work the same way in TBI engines? I'm going to wire a switch to the fan and just want to make sure it'd work the same before I go cutting into anything.

i clipped my grey wire just before the relay. connected some wire to each end of it and routed it to the interior and threw a switch on it. just be careful with this....dont short it out on a screw or something like i did. this grey wire is the one that goes into the alternater...and if you short the switch you could blow the fuse, fusible link, and/or alternator. that only happened to me cuz i didnt mount the switch...its just hanging there. hope this helps. rick
