I had to remove the intake manifold on my 88 Iroc 5.0 TPI and when i got everything put back together the engine runs like crap and the whole car is shaking. like is not running on all cylinders. I timed it, and checked all the wires and firingorder and it still runs bad. Then today i went out and started it up i heard like a rotating craping noise. It's comming from the distributer. Also when i had the distributer pulled apart i noticed that it was rusted pretty bad. I need help with this.

 

Is teh distributor fully seated on the intake and clamped down?

 

yup, The timing is off again--Some how. And i put a new cap and roder on and that helped the idle but under acceleration still is rough
