noob to shortblocks, please help
ok i'm looking at starting the short block for my iroc. its gonna be a 350 that i would like to make 350hp and 400# tq and spin the motor to 5800pm.
-new GM block 350
-scat 9000 crank
-scat ICR rods
-Keith black pistons (10:1 compression)
-CopCam 276HR-12
-Cloyes True Roller Timing Set

since there's no question i'll just ramble a while here. i wouldn't use any parts from scat, i wouldn't use any parts frm scat if they were free. i would take them and resale them if given to me. there have been too many people post on here with problems with scat parts. if you're starting with nothing i'd save a few dollars and find a builder 350 with 1 piece seal and provisions for factory roller.

Just a healthy GM forged crank will handle that. WIll be cheaper and prolly higher quality than a Scat peice.
