Dropped valve, now noise. What is it.
Broke a valve spring, dropped a valve. We'll I pulled the head and fixed the valve I think. Cylinder wall didn't looked scratched at all.
Piston also had no visible damage Now I have a ticking, or light knocking sound. I'm trying to figure out what broke or bent first?
The entire bottom end is very built. Eagle forged steel crank, eagle H-beam 6 inch rods, and SRP forged pistons.
What might have broke first when it tried to compress a solid object in to the head? Bent rod, bad bearing, broke wrist pin?
The motor runs fine otherwise. Oil pressure is ok and using a peak-hold compression gauge it was fine. Replaced cam and lifters on the bad cylinder.
Just don't know what my next step should be. It only has 2,000 miles on it and I really don't want to take more apart then I have too, but I don't know for sure whats wrong yet.
If I disconnect the intake rocker or pull the plug on that cylinder the noise is quieter but still there. I assume it's quieter because of lack of combustion on that cylinder at that point.

Did you replace the valve? Did the guide get messed up? Is the pushrod bent? Is the spring ok? It might have messed up the lifter too. Just some ideas.
