How to install a Grant Steering Wheel?/Remove stock 1?

how do i remove the stock steering wheel. i know ive seen a tech article around somewhere...about disconnecting the batt, fuse, and 4 bolts behind steering wheel...cuz of the airbag...but what else do i do? thanks so much

you'll need a tool to compress the lock plate and a puller to remove the stearing wheel. for the grant i've never put one on, even thought 2 of my cars have them.

the only special tools you will really need are a steering wheel puller (you can rent one from most parts stores like autozone) and a pair of snap ring pliers to get the snap ring off the bolt.. pull your horn cover off, remove the small bolts, remove the center nut and use the puller to pull the wheel.. installtion of the new wheel is pretty straight foward and the install kit (yes, you need a install kit to install grant wheels.. the kit has everything youll need to install and some good detailed instructions...

der.. i musta read over the part where you have a airbag.. grant does make some wheels that retain the airbag for a little more money.. as far as using a wheel without a bag im not sure on this one...
