Piston not coming up flush

In short I tried to compress a solid object in the piston. I checked #1,#3,#5,#7 and all come up flush when rotated to the top of the block, except #5 that had the valve problem. It comes up flush on the intake side and lower on the exhaust side. Now out of all these forged parts what do you supposed bent/broke to cause that?
I pulled the piston out but its nothing visible to the naked eye
