Flywheel Question....Real Quick

I'm assuming they are different, but I'll ask anyway. Are the flywheels for an automatic and manual tranny different?

not even the same thing. autos use flex plates not fly wheels.

Ummmmm, yeah, they're way different. The flexplate for an automatic is just a thin plate with holes in it, and a ring gear welded to it. A flywheel for a manual is a nice thick solid disc with a ring gear pressed onto the outer diameter.
