4-bolt question

I am assembling my engine tommorrow and cant find any info on the main caps other than 65 ft-lbs-----my question is do you tighten the inner ones first then outter or vice versa?Or is there any other mystery to them i dont know about. I am aware that you start with the center cap and work your fwd and aft. also I usually torque them in 3 steps to the final torque. just curious which bolts to tighten first

Start in the center and work your way back and fourth. Make sure to use a 30w oil on the main bolts when you assemble, so your bolts dont bind in the threads and give inaccurate tq readings. Dress all the bolts you plan to tq with 30w oil and check them again after 15 minutes.

i use moly lube instead of oil, but it's all about the same. i use 3 steps when i torque the main caps and recheck after a few minutes.
