OK, so i have an 89 rs camaro with a 5 speed, 140k miles. i just got my friends wrecked 91 z28 camaro without motor or trans(full interior, posi rear, all the other parts n such). Now i have bout 3500 bucks to spend, and was wondering..whats it best to spend it on?? i was thinkin LT1 swap with the auto trans...but what would you guys reccomend??

u can get a used completes ls1 and a t-56 for that price. check www.ls1.com in teh classified sections to see if any1 is selling engine and tranny. if i remember correctly on www.norcal-ls1 i believe cobrakilla was selling a complete ls-1 with harness for 600, but it has a spun bearing so it needs to be rebuilt. it has no internals because of the spun bearing but he has a stock crank, pistons and rods for the build up. cobrakilla has a thirdgen camaro with an ls-1 and has passed smog, so if u have questions on teh swap u probably could ask him.if u don't want to go that route, u can probably get a built 350 roughly 2500 bucks.
