ok. As some people know, i just put a 350 target motor in my car, i stripped it down to the block and cleaned everything, and rep;aced all seals and gaskets for safe measure. I got it running well enough now that i can start fine tuning it.... but have a knock coming from what seems to be the #3 intake rocker arm, I say it because, even the slightest pressure against the valve cover in that area, will silence it. I took the cover off and rechecked all the lash on all the valves. they are perfect. does any body know what could be wrong? wrng size valve covers? will it eventually eat away at the cover, and just stop? will that hurt anything seriously? thanks, i cant work on it until spring now, but anything to get me started would be appreciated thanks

T&A,

A quick look inside the cover should answer any clearance questions. Some aftermarket "dress-up" kits come with covers that are supposed to be stock height, but are not quite tall enough. Many of these won't even come close to clearing with a modified head/valve/cam setup.
