Building a 350 on a budget

im trying to build a 350 for 91'RS. im on somewhat of a budget. For now im going with steel heads. Was hoping to get hands on some 2.02 double hump heads but have come across a set of heads cast #333882. i work in a machine shop and am able to shave them or what ever needs to be done. just wondering if any one has ever had any problems using them. they are the 76cc out of a 77' chev. truck.

thanks in advance for any help that u can give me.

all suggestions are very welcome

Axle/Gears: 7.5" Auburn 4.10 Posi-Traction
pass on the 882 heads.

There are tons of better heads to use.

If you're on a tight budget and you work in a machine shop you should be able to rework a set of 305 HO heads (416) or 305 tpi heads (081) to suite your needs.

Thouroughly port them and upgrade to 1.94-1.60" valves.

By the time you've sweeped out the chamber to fit the larger valves, the chamber size will be right about 62cc's
just right for a flat top 350.

these heads are readily available.
