Your fuel lines come up the left side of the car from the gas tank as far as the trans, then cross over in the tunnel and enter the engine room along the right side of the "frame" immediately under the evaporator housing. I'd bet one of them is cracked or that the return line hose is loose or soemthing like that. Start at the fuel pump and follow the lines, I'm sure the problem will be obvious.

Well, I would have thought that Too ede, Except the Charcoal canister is sitting In the garage.
I suppose thats a possibility Rb, but dosent make a whole lot of sens to me that one of these would spontanously bust.
The Carb im using vents the bowl right into the air cleaner.
Its been raining like a mofoker here these last few days, so I havent had a chance to even look at the car, But as soon as it stops I will, Just wanted some stuff to Check
One last question. The return Line from the ECS canister, I plugged it with a appropriatly sized vaccum cap, But is this sufficent ?
Im not entirely familiar with the plumbing of the fuel system on my car, I assume a primary line and return both running to the fuel pump, and it appears a return from the ECS canister, anything Im missing ?
thanks

Well there is that llittle piece of rubber line where the return comes off the fuel pump. Also, it happened to me: on my own car, I came around to having a problem like that a couple of hundred thousand miles ago, namely, smelling fuel at all sorts of odd times. Upon close investigation, I discovered that the heat riser valve in the exhaust was real close to the return line; and that when the vacuum got fed to it when it was cold, the little linkage thing on it would rub the fuel line; and that it had in fact worn a little hole in the line, and fuel was running all around there sometimes, especially when it was hot out and I had just shut the car off.
Truth can be stranger than fiction.
