I am buying myself the ultimate Xmas present for my new short block, a set of 195 AFR's. My question pertains to the heads with heat risers, and the ones without. The heat risers have to do with the EGR vavle right? I am not worried about emissions so I dont really care if I have an EGR or not. I guess this is a two part question, should I run an EGR or not? Any way there it is, I tried to ask tech support at AFR but they are gone till the 5th, and I'd like to know now. Any input would be helpfull. "keep those wheels spinnin' and the beavers grinnin', I'm out"

 

I should probaly add that I will be using a HSR. Which now that I think of it, I am not sure if there is a provision to have an EGR on the HSR.

 

There isn't, so as long as you're positive those heads will stay with that intake for all time, get them without.
