Is an 89 TPI Corvette crank the same as an 89 Trans AM TPI Crank????

A guy is willing to sell me a crankshaft out of an 89 350 TPI Corvette to use in the 89 Trans Am 350 TPI motor that I have. Are they different at all? Or should I just not waste the money and use the one I have? Thanks.

I don't think there is any difference in the cranks at all. If yours is still in good shap I would not waste the money on it.

You might want to check the casting # on that vette crank at www.mortec.com just to see if it's a forged one, but more than likely it's the same cast crank as the one you have. I'd check the casting # on it just to be sure though.

Car: Formula

Does it matter that the vette had a 4 bolt main?
