DAMN WIPERS!
DAMN WIPERS!
They don't work...
Motor is good, because if you put current to it it operates fine. I have no current at the connectors for some reason, and the fuse is fine.
I was told that there is a switch in the column but am cluless as to how the column comes apart - if i pull the wheel can i access it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Stuart the switch is on the turn signal lever. The whole switch assembly can be purchased and replaced but will require some steering column disassembly.

Pulling the column apart is dependant on your mechanical abilites. If you are good in mechanics generally or in fine mechanics (small stuff) it's easy. I did a write up on it somewhere on my website (currently down 'cause I'm lazy) but I'll run you through what I remember.
Horn off with screwdriver, remove clip and then nut, pull steering wheel. Use a lockplate remover to take out the snap ring and remove the lockplate assembly. Remove the three screws holding in the turnsignal assembly. I didn't take the wiper swithc off but it should only be a few more screws to remove the arm from the assembly and you'll probably need to remove the hush panel, drop the wires and push the connector and wires back up through the column (they are in a nice holder for the GM line workers).

SS,
The column disassembly could be very minor if you have a tilt wheel. The wiper switch is located right inside the little protrusion on the left side of the column. It's a little tricky to install it without removing the steering wheel, but it can be done if you're patient.
This might help:
