Okay ive got a 1989 firebird formula with 305 tbi i replaced the valve seals and put everything else back and adjustaded the ruckers buy losening intill they clatter then tighten till they stop clattering then turn 1/4 a turn more and im hearing his ticketing noise on the passanger side of the engine.So i go to adjust it again and its still makeing that noise ive tried adjusting it 3 times already and it still makes the noise.Please if anybody knows anything.ITs starting to bother me and drive me crazy.but know when i rev it white smoke comes out a little but it might just be cuz i live in wisconsin.

 

try 1/2 to 1 turn after zero lash and make sure none of the nuts are backing off.
