Need advice on new Z28

Picked up an 83Z28 recently and need some advice. It's very close to stock other than the 305 has been replaced with a 350 and has a 3in catback Hooker exhaust. I pulled the valve covers off and the casting # is 376445 and there is also a 187 in a different part of the valley. The only #s I could see on the block was 010 in front of the oil filter. It's an Lg4 and auto. My question is are these heads any good and any info on the block?

Mortec.com lists these heads as
376445.....77-85...350..........76cc chamber, small valves

Very, very limited performance potential.

a 010 block is a 4" bore block produced up to 1980
can be 2 bolt or 4 bolt.

Appears to be a low compression base level 350
from the late 70's eary 80's.

get the casting number off the block for starters.. its in back of the drivers side head on the ledge behind it where the tranny bellhousing bolts to.. might havta move some wires and clean some grime but its there.. also in front of the passanger side head on the little ledge by the corner of the water pump there are another set of numbers.. they include a partial vin number from the origional vehicle the block was in and a suffix number helpful in determining what the block is as well in conjunction with the casting number and the date which is opposite of where the casting number is located or in back of the intake offset towards the passanger side on some newer blocks.. take numbers and lookem up at http://www.mortec.com

Theres another number located in front of the oil fiter that you can id a block with?? Or are you refering to the casting number 3970010 used for 4 inch bore blocks from 69-80? If so how did he find part of it in front of the oil filter? And agreed on the heads, they would make excellent wheel chocks.
