secondgen question
A buddy of mine is currently looking at a 1980 Camaro Berlineta. Question is what kinda trans did they put behind these lil 6ers and will it take a 350? The only thing that i know about it is that its an automatic.

For the 229 V-6 (Chevy design, dist in rear of engine) following transmissions:
M15 = 4 spd manual
M33 = CBC350
MV4 = TH350C (most likely)
MV9 = TH200
The 231 V-6 (Buick design, dist in front of engine) used these:
M20 = 4 spd manual
MD3 = TH180
M33 = CBC350
M15 = 4 spd manual
M33 = CBC350
MV4 = TH350C (most likely)
MV9 = TH200
