I just got a pair of mismatched aluminum angle plug sbc heads. One is 14085963 and the other is 10088113. I found that the 963 head is a 86 head with 1.94 and 1.5 valves, and that the 113 head is an 88 up head with 1.94 and 1.5 valves. The guy I bought the heads from had 2 more at home so I think I can get a matching pair. I just wan to know which is the better head. They look about the same except the 113 head has d port type exhaust port and the other has round ports. Thanks for any help.

 

The 113 is the better head, but they're not very much different.

Those are the ones that came on the 2 of the Corvette versions of L98. The 113s are still used on the ZZ4 motor. They're good stock heads, but that's about it.

 

i no its an old post but i just picked up a set of the 963 heads cheap, now i seen they said they were on the zz4 and was that reverse flow, if so would it matter if i put it on my 91 rs with a 350 from a 71 monte carlo, but also my heads are 2.02 and 1.6

 

Only LT1s are reverse flow.
