sounds like you got plenty of power. I would go with traction bars and subframe connectors if you havent already. What type of rear does that have? I would definitely put a posi and atleast 3.42's in it if you dont have them already.
It has a posi, but it has drum brakes on the rear. I have my 86 TA which I am parting out, and it also has a disc brake posi which I'm planning on switching (along with the proportioning valve) and the stock TA wheels/tires (16's vs. 15's)

Like the other guy said, it's time for some suspension work. That's the cure for your traction problem.
A higher stall torque converter would be the next thing after that (especially depending on what cam is in it), and maybe some gears.
