If I roll pin the rocker studs on a set of 416 heads what kind of lift could I get without machining the spring seats and using good aftermarket springs before I run into coil bind?

 

Thats something you need to talk about with your cam manufactur. They did give you a cam card with the recomended vavletrain right.

I was wondering what kind of lift I could get out of a set of 416 heads if I roll pin the rocker studs. Knowing they are the weak spot for extra lift along with weak springs. Not sure what you meant by your reply. Not sure what the cam card has to do with determining lift on heads. Most people try to figure out what the max lift of a set heads could handle before buying a cam. Buying a cam before determining safe lift without coil bind is like putting the cart before the horse.....dont ya think.

 

I wouldn't go over .500".
