Piston down bore @ TDC ?
I've been doing some compression calculations and I need to know how far down in the cylinder bore is the piston at TDC? The block is a stock '88 LO3 305 and the rotating assembly is stock as well.

PS.
Does anyone know if these pistons are dished or flat-tops? I don't remember seeing any valve reliefs on 'em when I had the heads off and I didn't pay enough attention to the pistons to remember if they were flat or dished. If they are dished, anyone know how many cc's? Stock head gasket thickness is .020", right?

There's actually a name for that, it's called deck clearance. It varies slightly from one individual motor to another. Typically it's about .025-.030" in a stock motor.
I'm not sure about the piston configuration in a TBI motor.
Stock head gaskets, if they're composition, are more near .035"-.040". That's probably what you have.
