Valve covers stuck!

Valve covers stuck!

i went out this morning to readjust my rockers and i got all the bolts off and everything but the damn valve covers like sealed to the head, i used a new rubber gasket yesterday if that makes a differnece.

they should pretty much fall off with just a little force unless they're in a bind aginst something

They do seal when they haven't been taken off for awhile. When I did my cam swap the driver side one was stuck on really good. I took a rubber mallet and taped on it all around the edge and used a long screwdriver to pry it up. Once one of the corners comes up you can get your hand uner it and pull it off.

yesterday

i took em off twice yesterday but there stuck, chould it be cuz its cold?

I think maybe they are bent a bit and don't sit on there quit flush. They seal pretty good once there bolted down and there maybe some suction going on there. Just tap them with a mallet and pull up on the sides.
