23* or Twisted Wedge G2? Your thoughts.

Which heads could be expected to deliver better out of the box performance? Any roller rocker compatability problems with either? These heads are going on my 91 350. I plan on adding SLP 1 3/4" headers and a cat back exhaust. Also a ZZ4 or evililent cam and all the other mods neccessary to get everything working right. But does either head hold an advantage, other than the 23* slightly lower price? Thanks.

87,

The 23* head has some big advantages in the "ease of installation" dept.

The TW heads require new 12 point head bolts, as the stock ones will not clear. Also, you'll find that nobody makes a header with a flange that allows you to pull 4 of the spark plugs without first unbolting both headers.

Last, not all rockers and guideplates are happy on these heads.

If I were in your shoes, I'd go for the 23*. I bought my TFS gen 1 heads 3 years ago, and after port/polish work they are great. But the new 23* heads flow almost exactly the same and are much easier to work with, not to mention cheaper.

Good luck.

I have the TF G2's and SLP headers. I can also remove all 8 plugs in about 10 minutes without even touching a header bolt. It's all in the tools at your disposial. I modified a spark plug socket to clear.
