How much have the little things cost you?
I just returned from town after purchasing a $50.00 spring to release my E-Brake from my 1989 GTA rear end. I am just curious, besides the $1,000's of dollars in performance mods, and lots of suspension and engine work. What are the little things that make your project cost so much??
$50.00 for a spring... tsk tsk tsk
$50.00 for a spring... tsk tsk tsk hehehe, I probably have more money tied up in the "little things" than any of the performance stuff I've bought.
This weekend for example. My car never gave me any problems starting before. I installed my coated Hooker 2460's and in order to slip the header in, I had to take out the starter bolts, move the starter 2 inches, then bolted it right back up.... no shims either. Never had shims.
Get everything bolted up, go to start car.... CLUNK, CLUNK. Look at starter, it's binding up on the flywheel. SO I install shims and it starts working great again. At this point I'm scratching my head.
Go to leave later that day, CLUNK CLUNK. Same thing, it's binding. Go buy a $50 starter, install it, and it's cranked beautifully since then *knocks on wood*
Haven't had old starter tested yet to see but my uncle seems to think a bushing has siezed causing it to bind up.
