When the car is idleing the oil pressure gage jumps. Usually just a little but sometimes as much as 20 psi. It also does this at freeway speeds. I was looking under the hood and noticed that the digital egr has oil all over it's base. It seems like the oil is leaking out of the egr. I pulled the egr and it has some kinda gray cream inside of it. Is any of this normal? Any help would be great.

Sounds like you are pumping water out the pipe.

Is there any water in the oil??

Does the car run OK??

Maybe just a moisture buildup in the EGR passage.

Definatly an oil/water mix. Had the same goop in the air Bendix air compressors we used in industrial Detroit Diesel engines.

The car runs well. It's oil/water. Is this ok?

As long as it doesn't overheat and there aren't any fluids that are mixing (one getting fuller while the other is losing fluid) you should be alright.

It might just be condensation.

I would look for water out the ex. pipe or any water loss.
